Ordered a new carrier bearing and starter. When the tranny comes out I might as well do these and the u joints while shaft and tranny are out. Already have u joints on my part shelf.

Great idea!

Is the carrier making any noise? Or is this just preventative maintenance? I'm thinking the latter.

I only ran my truck today for a few important errands around town. That included filling up the fuel tank for the work week ahead.

I did nothing else to it. Except dream of when I can attach my double jet ski trailer to it and launch my toys to have some fun on the water again! This past year has been very depressing for me. As my "therapy" includes riding in the ocean and catching big air off the waves.

Well, we now know WHOM has been hoarding all of the toilet paper when there was a shortage of it!

Was their mail being delivered there too?!

I haven't seen any suspicious packages lately.

Just a reminder to keep/get your yokes in "phase" when you replace that carrier bearing. Last time I replaced mine I marked everything to make sure I got it reassembled the same way it came apart.

Well, the previous owner had it wrong and it didn't take long to hear and feel the driveshaft wobbling at higher speeds. If you don't have that diagram, just use the search button.

If it was off from before, how did you line it up?

it had no pressure but i took it home and punched the can, poured it in a glass jar. i use it sparingly on the tough stuff, need to get more, definitely.
it is good.
I may know where you can find a can of that magic elixir, amdilligaf1.

jp2code, it looks like those passengers were firmly entrenched in the dash!

In other news, I got the vacuum lines sorted on Hector and drove him around for about 45 minutes. Almost ready to declare the transplant a success. Gotta adjust the clutch safety switch under the pedal - a bit frustrating having to find that "sweet spot" to crank the truck.

Well at least they were polite enough to wipe instead of leaving their droppings everywhere.

You have to wonder WHERE the rats obtained all the toilet paper. Maybe they come up through the toilets and then pack it out the front door when you're asleep.
