New guy
Introducing myself to the forum. I own a 2004 Frontier 4 cylinder extended cab (XE) that I bought new. Im at a little over 150k mileage and have had a good history with the truck. Right now I’m struggling with a modestly high idle speed (1000-1200). Suspect the IAC. Having a hell of a time trying to get wire plug disconnected from the IAC. Brown plug, green internal slider. Theonly possible motion is sliding the green internal piece which I can do freely. However the plug doesn’t budge off the IAC connection. Anybody suggest what I am doing wrong? Don’t want to break the connector!

If this is what your IACV looks like, it looks like the connector is the push down on the tab and pull off type:
