Hello everyone,
I got a 91 d21 and it's got a couple electrical Gremlins that I'm trying to run down. General information: Truck starts and runs, has lights, radio First, on inspection I noticed I'm missing a fusible link on the positive lead to the battery terminal. It is green/black wires. The green wire is missing, presumably melted off. I don't know how to find a replace for this. Second my ac fuse/cigarette lighter fuse don't have power and the fuses aren't blown? What's my next step? check relays and how do I do that? Thank you for any information you can pass on to me. |

The fusible links are still available from Nissan. Use your VIN on www.nissanpartsdeal.com and search for fusible to find the right parts. I’ve order from that website a couple of times and it is a legitimate website. You can also search for the part number on Google to see if you can find it cheaper.
There’s an accessory relay that supplies the fuse for the lighter. I think it’s under the dash above the fuse box?

So to wrap this up I scored at the yard twice, hitting a set of new fusible links, and found out that accessory relay 2 on a 91 is located in dash on top of the fuse panel( top left). Now I have AC and a USB charger!

I have two or three extra fuse links. I grab them from LKQ when I see good ones.
