I re-read your post I quoted and I had to hold back my tears. Honestly. It brought back so many memories of great fun and 100% pure joy. I lost my youngest son in December 2016 right before X-Mas. So your post triggered some bitter sweet memories for me. The most beloved holiday for my gorgeous wife is now something she dreads and I’m helpless to do anything for her, except to attempt to give a safe space to be in. But Thank You for sharing your joy. Protect it at all costs, as you can never get it back. |

changed my oil and noticed my top radiator hose almost fell all the way off the radiators upper tank. pulled it off and found out that the bottom of the tube is half missing. got the hose back on, but gonna need to replace the radiator soon it’s looking like. glad i found it and the hose hadn’t popped off yet, wasn’t much coolant missing either.

Junkyard run this morning with no real finds. Had to go to work to upgrade our POS server and notice this when I got out of the truck. Guess I'll be getting a tire on Monday.

A word of caution about that tread starting to separate…if allowed to get worse over time. It will slap against the fender well and cause a lot of damage to your truck.

No worries on that happening, PnB. It's sitting safely inside the building at work and running one off our sick work Nissan.

Good to know!
I installed the replacement SKP branded exhaust manifold tonight. While removing the old cracked one. I unscrewed two manifold studs from the cylinder head while removing the nuts. So I used two flanged nuts to tighten the studs down. I found another stud that was partially lose later. So had to tighten that one also. I actually don’t like the small OEM nuts for the exhaust manifold. I think I will change them out to flange nuts for better sealing against the thick washer. I will also order a set of NGK plug wires, as I stoopidly yanked the #2 wire to get it out of the way while dropping in the manifold and the metal connector stayed on the plug as the wire was separated. So, new plug wires and a new exhaust manifold. |

NGK(blue ones) coming on Thursday from ScamAzon...
I would have ordered them from RA. But the down time has already been a week for my truck and I would have to wait another week for the plug wires. So ScamAzon it was...10 bux cheaper too. |
