Default V6 Cylinder head temp sensor bypass?

So my '88 VG30i has a code 13, faulty cylinder head temp sensor. This causes the truck to run rich when cold and normal when warm, but when bad it just stays rich, like, gas soaked oil rich...

The sensor is behind the timing set, which is on my list. My question is, is there a way to bypass the sensor until I can get to replacing the front end of my engine?

It can be changed without removing a ton of stuff. The connector will break. The good news is the part that clips to the sensor is a section that can be replaced. It plugs in on both ends. 19mm is the socket you need. You can get it in at an angle to pull the old one out. It is in a dry socket, so no worries about anything leaking out.
