I'd stay away from those chips partner all it does is tell the ecu to spit more fuel to allegedly allow more combustion or detonation whatever but actually u end up running richer n leaner wasting even more fuel I've heard nothing but bad things about them

I figured they were too good to be true.. But, never hurts to ask.

I have a 94 and I normally get 20-22 mpg and I definately don't drive like a grandma. I've also owned a 96, for about 8 years, that got the same. I'm currently running 225/40/18 w/ Titan rims on my 94. It might be the truck amigo.

I've got a K&N filter, stock exhaust, plugs and wires etc. I've got just over 110,xxx.

My truck might be wasting so much gas probably because it runs cold, the water temp needle hardly goes up on the gauge

Not sure if it's my engine. Or the hole in my gas tank.

I just recently purchased a 97 HB 4cylinder 5speed and I get horrible gas mileage as well I get right around 200 miles to the tank maybe 215... All stock...I just put Titan wheels with 245/45/18....I'm running 87octane could the difference be because I'm not running 93... Right now I get a better mpg in my Lexus which has a 4.3L V8

I wish I knew why everyone was getting such bad mileage. I have a 97 regular cab 2wd 5spd ka24e. I just ran a full tank out last night from full all the way until I ran out on the side of the road. My low fuel light came on at 350 miles and I finally ran out at 406.1 miles. Assuming that my tank was at its fullest capacity of 15.9 gal, that works out to 25.54 miles per gallon of highway driving averaging 60-65mph on 87 octane. I generally get about 23mpg. Truck is bone stock with 117,500 miles. The only thing I've done is advance the timing 2 and a half degrees. It's hard for me to believe that everyone's mileage is so bad but there isn't some sort of obvious problem, the trucks can't be running right at all while getting 10-15 mpg.....
