Default 1992 HB 4cyl stalls after start up

Before I did the timing it ran and started fine.

I redid the timing, ensured everything is TDC. Put everything back on and started then it would just stall. Did the whole unplugged MAF and it cranked and started up fine but when I plugged it back in it stalled. Any help will be considered. TIA..

If it runs with the MAF unplugged but not when it is plugged in that sounds like a good indicator that the MAF is bad!

New parts can still be bad or of poor quality.

Or.you have a wiring issue then.

Check the MAF plug on the truck. The ground wire likes to corrode and cause all kinds of problems.

Do a smoke test to check for vacuum leaks.

Otherwise, if everything else was put back correctly, I'll guess improper alignment of the timing set.
