Default Factory graphics option - Anyone seen something similar?

Hey y'all. I bought an 1986.5 Hardbody last year. Two tone, grey and black. It has some decals and pinstripes that I am assuming were put on at the factory or maybe the dealer. I've never seen another hardbody with these kind of graphics and was wondering if anyone here has seen anything like this or has any info. I really like the design, it gives the truck a great look imo.

I'm getting the feeling that pink stripe isn't OEM...

For sure on a Sea Doo because they're a French-Canadian company(and I own 3 Sea Doos).

I could be wrong. But Nissan normally used larger sized graphics from what I've seen.

I'm definitely not certain it was done by Nissan but I also really doubt that the PO would have put it on himself if not at the dealership when he bought it (he was a Nissan mechanic). It also just suits the truck so well I feel it must have been factory. The pink stripe was definitely put on with the rest of the decal.

It's a lot different from the graphic packages they had in the 90's, that's kinda why I'm so curious. Did the 80's hardbodies have any graphics options?

You have a little house on top of your truck!

LOL

You and Reserector are going to have stuff to talk about.

I think he built his little house, but I didn't see a build thread on it. I think he posted all his pics in the "What have you done to your D21 today?" thread, so they would be hard to find.

You can get Nismo license plate frames at Amazon for $16. Always a nice addition.

Not factory decals, a lot of dealers used aftermarket companies to add accessories or wheels and tires and than apply a "limited edition or similar" sticker on the truck. I used to work at a 4x4 shop back in NY and we did trucks and cars for multiple dealers, never had a Limited Edition or any other sticker like that, but some trucks we added stripes, tint, etc, depending on what the dealer wanted.

Took me a while to find that link.

I think the Desert Runner graphics might be Nissan's most famous series.

I dunno. I haven't done pinstriping or graphics on a truck since the 90's, so I have no good answer here. I do know that anything related to the 'Nismo' stuff is pretty cool though.
