Before posting, please browse through the thread to see what others have posted.
Okay, lets put all these posts in one thread and hopefully keep the clutter down. eventually people will be able to compare what does to what doesnt. and maybe. . . just maybe we'll put an end to this mystery. If you want to know if a wheel will tuck, we need you to answer a few questions. Year and model of your truck:_______________ Suspension: Bagged, or static drop?(how much) Bodydropped? (yes or no) 4wd fenders? (yes or no) Wheel in question (brand, style):_____________ Size (diameter x width):______________ Offset or backspacing:_______________ Tire size:______________ for example: Quote:

also, here is a good chart to convert backspacing to offset, for easy comparison to combo mentioned in this thread. ![]() please see the following chart before asking a question. ![]() |

they will tuck on the fronty with rolled fender lips. on a hardbody you should be fine up front, but will have to flare the bed in the rear pretty well.expect to cut out in the inner fender supports and weld in spacers. |

Where do you get those conversions? It'd be nice to know how to do them in case I find some other wheels..... Another suggestion for this thread would be posting things like 20x8.5 needs such and such offset to tuck 22x9.5 needs ____ to tuck ![]() Just an idea going through the popular sizes and give the needed offset. |

offset is the distance from center to mounting surface. often measured in millimeters. the metric way (japan, europe, etc)
backspacing is the distance from the back of the wheel to the mounting surface. measured in inches. The american way! (which i think is dumb) anyhoo. you know the width of the wheel. say 20x8. so you know that this wheel is 8" wide, and if the offset is 0, then the mounting surface would be in the dead center, or 4" of backspacing. you follow? so on a 22x9 the backspacing is 6 inches. well, center is 4.5 inches. so that means the mounting surface is to the positive side of that by 1.5". so convert 1.5" to mm (25.4mm = 1 inch) to get your positive offset. 1.5x25.4=38.1 or +38mm offset lets go the other way now. wheel is a 24x10 with +40 offset. that means the mounting surface is 40mm positive of the 5" center line. so 40 / 25.4= 1.57". add that to the 5" center and you have 6.57" backspacing ill make charts and spreadsheets another day. ![]() |
