Default Proform High Torque mini 440-415 starter

Is there one or similar to use on my 87 D21HB 4x4 ? I'd love to have that cool Mopar sound that turns everyones ears especially coming from my truck! I know they'll be thinking Nooo Waaay!!! Just thinking of cruising Hawthorn Blvd.in LA on friday night then parking in the drive-in, can't remember the name, but there were some baaad rides! First and last time I ever a VW with headers coming out the front! You could go over and check out the rides and follow him if you wanted to run for PINKS? My friend had a stock looking red 427 Galaxy with what looked like a 390 badge but with no number. Won alot of races especially from the Highway man (Patrol). Good ole days! Still think LA has the baddest rides! Even the Low-Riders were FAST, they'd just raise it up a bit leave you wondering what happend?

?!?!?

What does a starter have to do with how a rig sounds or how fast it goes?

The Mopar SB/B/RB/Hemi mini-starters don't sound like the originals; just like Toyotas, .... Half the size, though.

Sure I have. No one cares about the firing up. They care about the Detroit V-8 sound that comes afterward. No way you can get that with a four banger. Ever hear a Subaru going by with modified exhaust? People think it sounds cool. It doesn't.

Why are you trying to... well ...just follow this lead if you really want "the sound", a 10 year old thread:

This is quite an awesome job! ^^^

...so, how deep are your pockets?

Probably at least as bad as a Jeep so worse than a cow.

Us classic Mopar guys do, for sure. Nothing like the sound of the cranking!

I'm more concerned about my rig running rather than just cranking. Less time it cranks the better.

I agree with SiFi on the subie. Boxer engines sound terrible. Only thing worse than a civic with a fart can is a boxer engine with any sort of exhaust I can hear.
