Here I am, pushing 68 years old next March, and discover my 2009 Xterra has bad shocks and struts. What the hell...I will do the work myself. And I did do the work successfully this weekend.
Along the way I discovered a broken leaf spring on the passenger side...so I fixed that as well. Had a shop make me one and installed it. Now I'm REALLY tired. ![]() And after all THAT....the wife wanted an oil change on her 2011 Toyota Avalon. So I did that too. I slept very well last night. ![]() I keep wondering how long I can go on doing this sort of work at my age, and the answer is...until I can't do it anymore. Wife says, "You're getting older. You should just face that..." Really? So guess what happened right after I did all this work and we went to bed. Yeah, baby. I ain't THAT old yet. She got up this morning with a smile on her face and said, "Maybe you aren't that old yet, after all..." Ha. ![]() I think we still look pretty good for our age, and she's a year older than I am. Picture from last July. Oh...I went with KYB on the shocks and struts by the way. Can't go wrong with them. ![]()
