Default KA24e Side Feed Vs Top Feed Fuel Injectors

All, just trying to see if there is any advantage to using top feed injectors. Also to use top feed injectors, do you remove the side feed rail and will the top feed injectors fit?

My 1990 has the older style, I think. Top feed if I am remembering correctly. IDKW they changed the design; I'd go with whatever was stock on your year.

Should fit as long as it's pre obd2. You do need to change the rail obviously.

I don't know about the Z24i, KA24e, or VG30i, but the VG30e uses side feed injectors.

My standard advice is to NOT mess with stock too much unless you know what you are doing. Stick with the tried and true. Once you start messing with stock emissions or fuel delivery, you can cause other problems and your CEL will flash here and there on you. The CEL mostly relates to emissions problems, so if you mess with what the Japanese engineers intended, it can bring headaches later. They were really smart guys and my kudos go out to them. In most of these trucks, something depends on another. One small system relates to another. It's a balance thing. Don't mess with it unless you know what you're doing.
