There's a good thread on led bulb replacement somewhere. If you'll pic out the part numbers from it and make a new thread with those I'll stick it.

I was looking at this for info on finding LEDs. The older rigs, 86.5 for sure and probably 87-89 are dual filament front blinkers. Should be a 1157 bulb.

my 89 has single filament 1156 front turn signal bulbs, no provision in wiring for it being a running light.
Heater control back light is a 37. Had fun finding that one.

There exists incandescent bulb upgrades that are relevant for the reverse (and, I suppose, turn) and rear marker/brake bulbs.
For reverse, 796 is an upgrade for 1156, providing quite a bit more lumens without requiring many more watts. For the marker/brake, 2157 is an upgrade for the brighter (brake) filament only, such that there is no extra draw on the wiring except when braking. This bulb is much brighter as well, and does have a somewhat higher draw when the brakes are applied, but not something that should cause concern in an intermittent application. I don't know if this is the best thread for this, but it seems like a good one. These bulbs are cheap, available at parts stores, and increase safety and visibility. I have run them for years in previous vehicles with no deformation of the bulb socket. They are awesome! James

Got a 97 with floor shift auto....Does anyone know the right bulb to go in the console to light up the gear indicator? By searching the numbers listed above, I'm assuming it's the BA9S but just making sure.
