Default Clutch fluid always black

Flushed it now its black again shifting notchy.

Could it be the
1. damper
2. clutch hose next to slave 27 years old.

3. Or just rubber ruined in the master from the last bad slave cylinder and now the master is leaking air into the system.

Flange nut is stuck on clutch hose...

Update--Oct 2

LUK master cylinder wrong stroke or damaged put in old Nissan Master Cylinder shifts great.
Both Beck Arnley slave cylinder and LUK from Rock Auto failed.

Running a Carquest Slave cyl now.

Dont even have to push clutch to floor it shifts smooth and fairly quick.

Had a Honda Civic with black clutch fluid.
Black stuff sitting in the bottom of the reservoir didn’t get cleaned with a flush.
Ultimately draining and cleaning with a rag removed it all, and so adding new fluid wasn’t getting tainted.

Ultimately it’s probably just cosmetic. If you removed the old fluid and added new fluid it should be fine if it’s operating okay.

It's probably rubber from either the hose or the damper. Those bits took out my last master. Eventually ate the seals. I'd flush the system and get rid of the damper.

It's most likely from the dampener coming apart. Bypass it and be done with it.

It visually looked really challenging. Had to get the fuel filter braket off then I began to install the brake line coupler 785.

It took an hour but now it shifts alot better even 3rd!!!!!!! didnt last.

After another hour its notchy again except 4th

It was getting notchy in almost every gear.

Still got a low quality pressure plate thats new. Shop said they would put in a Sachs I supply under warranty.

Hearing a gauling noise in the morning with clutch all the way in might be the non bronze pilot bearing. No noise this morning.

Could be an angry throw out bearing.

has anyone mentioned your freeplay might be off? the pedal builds pressure too low. I like my clutch to engage quicker/lower but that means i move less fluid and i dont engage the clutch as cleanly if i dont adjust it JUST right. makes for a real crunchy shift. reverse is especially crunchy when i get this wrong.
