Recalls for 86.5-97 Nissan Hardbodies

for the 90 models, same recalls as the 91 for the seat belts and an incorrect tire pressure sticker in the door jamb.

now be informed that what i listed here came directly from AllData Pro. the above listed information is from the recalls that Nissan issued on the trucks. there are several TSBs or technical service builletins on all the models, but those were things that could be dealt with under warranty with no or minimal parts replacement.

one example is the heater cores of these trucks have been known to gurgle when the cooling system has been drained and improperly refilled. the gurgling is the trapped air at the lowest point in the coolant system, and this is the heater core.

like i said, you should be able to call your local Nissan stealership with your VIN and they should be able to check and see if the recalls were performed. the fuinny thing is that if someone has a truck and one of them has a recall that hasnt been done, Nissan still has to do something about it lol

Does it say which tire pressure that was?

The original equipment tire size is listed on the existing FMVSS certification label on the door pillar (the size is correct, only the pressure is in error).

it says the corrected sticker reads 26 psi cold in the front and 29 psi in the rear cold.

For those of you with really loud drive trains like me, there is a service bulletin #NTB97009 that addresses the FS5R30a whine. I could not find any further details.

there were a few TSBs about the whining in the drive train. i dont think they ever got too concerned with it though. not enough to issue a recall.
