Default Project DC21

Well I have once again acquired a new hardbody! A fellow youtuber by the name of "Clint's Street Machines" offered me his d21 project as he was moving across country, and I couldn't say no! Big shout out to him for letting another d21 into my life!!

The truck is an XE 1986.5 king cab, z24i auto, 2wd.

Clint was in the process of engine swapping a VH45 Nissan V8 in the truck, which needed a very large cut in the firewall/trans tunnel. The truck came to me with everything pulled just the body sitting on the frame. Interior is now stored away in my shop to hopefully keep it preserved until the project gets started. I wont start any major progress most likely until 2023...

WHATS MY INITIAL PLANS??

Body -
Roll pan, Small wing, Pathy front end

Interior -
Stock.... its in such good shape I don't want to change it.

Chassis -
Coil overs, with a SFBD that's right we will be static body dropping this bitch which will set her nice and low and get the COG down as well!

Engine/Drivetrain -
I've put a lot of thought into this.... details are still unknown but I'm dead set on the concept! Now Clint and peeps you may not like what I'm about to say, but the way the world is going I will be a step ahead of everyone in the near future!! I will be attempting an ELECTRIC MOTOR SWAP! Not sure on details if it will be rwd, awd, crate swap, tesla swap, etc.. I figured in a year or two there will be a lot more options to choose from and make my decision at that point. Shooting for a very high output swap with a large battery capacity, as many of you know California is planning on the ban of gas engines and I can see more states to follow there foot steps. Does this suck... YES! but I believe we will adapt and the electric race cars out there now are unreal so the electric hot rod will become a modern thing..

With all that said, plans do change so we will ride the journey when it comes! Onto the pics!

I like that color. You don't see many of those. Is it called Brown or Bronze?

A high-powered electric engine might be a neat idea. More and more vehicles are going electric, so there might be a Tesla being parted out somewhere.

Don't forget guys... Tesla's have "REAL computers". Don't know that this is a headache or worthy of transferring.

Mocha Brown Metallic (468) is the color I believe.
