I changed the trans/rear end fluids in 2019. I bought the 89' in 2k and suspect everything was original then. I've not done much, in this regard... or had to do much! But then I don't race the 89'......

- replace ALL vacuum lines, ALL? Rubber becomes more flexable when warm and can start sucking air thru dryrot cracks.

Seems to me it's a heat...

Cracked head? The only way I can think that coolant gets into the v-cover... or up a valve guide seal, where the seal is gone? ...but it still needs to get to the guide.

Do you have a 4 or V6?
