Don't use any oil that even MENTIONS GL5 because it contains sulfides that will corrode the yellow metals in your transmission....

One work around for the oil filter is to use the little AC Delco filter that the LM7 calls for. Might be just the Z71 version for all I know. It tucks right into the opening in the pan....
