Windshield trim

I have my windshield out to clean up the channel and replace the glass. Can the upper trim and trim retainer be installed after the glass? I would like to wait until after I paint the truck to install the new trim and retainer.
Thank you for your advice!

Yes.

Mine went several years before I realized that trim piece was missing. I found it on ebay, so I have one now.

So no problem installing it after the glass?

Where'd you get new glass?

A little ma and pa glass company in Clearwater Fl.
Are you having problems finding one local?

I went to a local auto parts store that also does windshields.

He (D21-1995) should call around his local glass companies. I'm sure someone will have...

My deductible on glass is $100, so I usually take that route.

What did you pay? Does it have the antenna in the glass? Some of us (SE's) have this option and need the 2nd aerial.

Mine has a small chip in it and is all scratched up. I never considered replacing it. Thought it would be too much of a pain to find a place. But from a few of the other comments sounds like it should be pretty easy to find a place.

Thanks
