Looking good. Kind of wish I had done the doors where the panels hook onto. I guess I still can since I have materials left. I did the inside of the doors. Thinking about getting an aerosol can of lizrad skin to get in the doors better.

That’s all sound deadener on the door panel. Gonna see if I can get a layer of thermal insulation stuck on before I put the door panel on. Man this stuff makes a huge difference. No more cheap tin sound when I close the doors my roof feels like I have a sleeping bag under the headliner.

Default Radio installed

Synced to the phone and installed the mic for hands free. Will get the face plate installed after I pick up a missing screw then on to speakers, more sound and heat insulation then inner panel and rear carpet install. Gonna leave the front carpet out. Want to drop the tranny next year and have it rebuilt. No sense installing then having to take it all back out again to get to the upper trans bolts.

Nice! I started to get one of those XM ready units (and it would have been nice to control that from the head unit), but decided to not get that since I already have the XM unit and the adapter to not have to use the Aux In.
Planning to mount my mic in one of the unused switch ports on lower dash.

Thanks. The head unit was around 178.00 Crutchfield and 4 6.5 Polks for 79.00 a pair. I didn't want to go all out but wanted something that was good quality. I like the mix of new tech with old school. My daughter called me a nerd when I whowed her the pics; I would have said the same thing when I was her age.... getting older man.

Thanks. David keeps giving me ideas; I can't keep up with him; he takes anal to a new level; he's got a show car going; My goal is to get something clean and serviceable; and keep adding to it; if I get it to where I want it it's gonna have new paint rims and tires which will really make it po; that will be several years down the road.
