When I do air hose replacements, if the hose has no hold-down wire or whatever, or even if it DOES...I toss that sucker and use screw-type, radiator clamps on them. Looks sharper because they are chrome-color, and all you have to do is buy the smaller sizes. No vacuum leaks again and puts a nice touch on your engine bay. Just don't OVER tighten them because they can crush the nipples, or if the hose goes to a cast aluminum part, can actually crack the aluminum.

Same thing with the stock factory screw clamps. They're ugly. Switch over to the modern screw clamps on those when you can. When doing water hoses, only tighten them 'just enough' don't get crazy or you can actually break the aluminum water outlet part. Especially if you use a little wrench or a socket to tighten them down, instead of a screwdriver.

Anyone have an easy to read diagram showing the vavuum and pollution control hose routing? Im not sure if I got mine correct after a major engine job.
