My PS headlight was slightly off due to one of the previous owners mishaps. So I figured I would get the the bucket out and straighten what needed straightening. After getting it all lined up and almost perfect, I was removing everything for a clean up before re-assembly. I forgot the impact was NOT in reverse and squeezed the trigger, snapping the bolt off at the head. I figured 3 should hold so onward ho. Get to the the 3rd/last bolt and it stripped the weld nut. Trying to figure out what happened, I stripped out another weld nut. Now I'm down to one bolt holding the headlight in place.

I should have just let it be crooked.

Now go get you an M6x1.0 tap and take care of it. You’ll use them frequent enough to warrant their purchase I’m sure. I don’t even sweat most broken bolts. Shit breaks lol

I started out with a cheap HF tap and die set several years ago. I still have it but now I also have a box full of taps/dies and their associated drill bits. Almost all of them are either M6x1, M8x1.25 or M10x1.25.

I love these sets BTW. They are not the cheapest ones out there but nothing is worse than having to remove a broken tap or stud extractor. I wish they sold these in a set for M6, though.

I'd like to get a new header panel for the truck. It's pretty mangled behind the PS fender.

Well my real - maybe 150 year old saguaro - is leaning from storms, and damaged at its base, so it's not long for this world. It's about 30 feet high, will fall on my driveway.
