Default Do the early nineties hard bodies come with air conditioning from the factory.

I was wondering if the early Nissan D21 Hard Body trucks come with air conditioning from the factory? Is there a after market kits that can be installed?

Cheers Mack

There used to be aftermarket kits back then also. I have yet to find any now. They were expensive when they were available so I could only imagine it would be more if one is found.

You could buy a base model with nothing during any of the years of Hardbodys. When I bought a base model king cab, no air, no radio, no nothing.
I wanted ac. So for $1200, the dealer installed it with all factory stuff. Which was a kit they had ready to go when I brought it back in to be put in.

Mines an 86.5 and it has an aftermarket ac system. The reason i can tell is the drier is different than a factory nissan one. And so is the switch in the cab

most where added, they had ac kits that included everything but freon.. I also bought a bare bones unit (back then rr bmprs where optional too) I spent $500 on the kit and bought the tech (Nissan tech/friend) lunch... best $$ I have spent (I live in AZ) that thing would numb my hand on the way home it was so cold...
