Default i need a new job

Just throwing this out there for the people in the denver area that could maybe help me out. I've been doing auto body for about 4 years now and truth be told I'm sick of it. My company just got bought out and the preverbal shit has hit the fan.

I'm open to just about anything as long as it pays my bills.

I just left auto mechanics, after 20 some odd years of it, and joined the Department of Corrections here in Florida.

By "join" department of corrections, do you mean as a detainee or as a corrections officer? Lol

I don't know what railroad runs out there for sure, but I know Union Pacific has a few lines through there. My dad is an engineer for them, great pay and benefits. But you are on call 24/7 365. If I get tired or something comes of teaching that's what I'm going to do. Might be worth looking into.

If you were a little further south east my brother works at the gold mine in cripple creek co. They are hiring now and they start out around $20 an hr and killer bens with no exp nessisary. It is shift work and no good place to live that's close to the mine. I was going to try to get on there but I got a better job in Tucson.

You and me both need new jobs. Freakin' economy is in the toilet up where I am. Half my friends can't find a decent career. I'm glad I am not near broke or anything like that. Been working pretty steady since my 17th birthday.

Hope you find something, man.

Im working 3 days a week half a day. At that rate Ill be dead before I can afford a house. Gives me time to work around my parents house though. And design crazy stuff.

Im a recent college grad. Finishing some of the BS classes like humanities this summer and should have that fancy piece of paper in my hand by early august. Im looking for engineering jobs. Either the market is flooded or its just a crappy time to look. I havnt even gotten a single call or message back in 6+ months. Did get an e-mail back a year later from a job I applied to for summer work, lol.

Definitely as an officer!

There are tons of extra training available that make you promotable, things such as firearms instructor, easy to move up in rank, no hard labor, no inclement weather to deal with and, with crime rates as they are, no end to the need for corrections officers.

Decent starting pay with great benefits package and uniform allowance.

I was three weeks from moving back to Alabama, with no job lined up there, when they called me to go take my physical.

Thanks for all the ideas guys. But I think one my problems is that I'm young and look young. Had a fee interviews but nothing concrete.
