Danm, someone cut that Chevy up. Wonder what it was... an early icecream truck?

Yeah, I don't know why it was left like that! The recent rains(and a few more to come) will destroy the floorboards with rust. Looks like a panel wagon/delivery truck for sure. I hope someone saves it. They just don't make'em like this anymore. Has nice oxidized "patina" for sure!

So here's goofy video from the late '80's/early '90's that's an ode to mini trucks with serious bass pouring out of their trucks. the video features Nissan 720's and D21's decked out for mini truck cruising. Actually takes me back to those days when I was doing the same in my lowered '89 D21 with 12" Rockford Fosgate Punch set up.

If you don't want to listen to the song/music. Just hit the mute button. Or just turn the sound all the way down. The song will rob you of 3:33:33 of time off your life that you'll NEVER get back!!! Be warned! But its worth watching for the Nissans featured in this video. There's even a Mazda B2200 mini truck with gull winged doors!!!

@ 3:04 of this video, the shot shows 5 Nissans coming down a street that comes off the 4th St. Bridge in Downtown L.A. that goes over the L.A. River. I know this route very well. As I use this same road many times during the week.

Hey, if you git a chance, go back and re-shoot it. I'd like to see more of it... that was rather interesting.

For sure!

I will revisit this oldie but goodie and see what's to come or become of it.

It's actually parked at one of my company's properties. So I'm pretty certain someone knows something about it! Plus, I know a lot of people that work at that property. So I will follow up on this orangesicle truck.

Be sure to watch the video at 3:04 of the video. It's a cool shot of 5 Nissans coming at Ya!

Also, there's a mini truck with the '80's limousine tv antennae attached to the Snug Top low profile(low pro) camper shell.

I absolutely LOVE the truck with the FUKKIN HUGE STACK of speakers that takes up the ENTIRE BED! Absolutely makes me give the nod of acceptance!

first time i have seen your truck aside from the user picture.
got the ebony and ivory thing going !!
very very nice truck, PB..the other guy's is too!

a double badged xterra? somebody went to LKQ!

-so, i was in town today and saw the silver D21 that i see cruising by my house several times a day. i was leaving the IGA and across the street at the T-Mart, there she was. a 97 KA 5 speed.

i walked in the store, only one customer, at the video poker machine.
said "is that your nice truck out there?"
Man, His face lit up !! "yes, it is. and i love it...."

i introduced myself and we talked about 15 minutes about our hardbodys, our town, and life in general. he knows all my surrounding neighbors.
he was in his early 80s, sharp as a tack, and has owned it since '01. he bought it at a pretty decent used lot in the county seat, and it had 60k when purchased, at 320k now, burns no oil, and runs like new. does oil changes every 3k, uses 20w-30 castrol only. he said a few people had dented it in parking lots over the years, but it runs so-o-o good!

he lamented that his wife refused to ride in an "old truck" and said he had the money for a new one, but why should he bother when it ran so good.
so they just take her car, also a nissan.

he said "if i have any trouble with it, i'll call sherrill's (local tow guy) and maybe he'll give me $200 for it. THEN i'll go get me a new one."

i said i would love to have the chance to buy it if it ever got to that.
he said he would feel much better it going to a good home than it being scrapped, and i WILL get first crack at it. we swapped phone numbers.
i told him it didn't matter if it was 2 weeeks or 10 years, let me know....now i wait...
