Webber carb swap - Infamous Nissan

So I took the TBI off and am in the process of swapping out for Webber. The first picture is of the intake, thee is carbon all the way to the EGR valve. Perfect example of why you need to clean the intake once in a while. The second is the carb that redline sent me. it is all pretty and shiny and new.

Fixed link, Just ordered DUI distributor, supposed to be shipped on the 20th but when I emailed Performance ignition they said 4-5 weeks so not sure when that will be here.

I just saw a carb'd 87 v6 HB today

My 87 truck has the weber swap. It idles a little high in cooler weather, but it will flat out scoot down the road. It never ran this good with the fuel infection.

I've been happy with the weber carb swap on my 86 1/2. Been about 2 years and I cant complain.
K&N makes an adapter for the carb so you can and one of there filters.

Nice setup.
Recommendation: (besides trying to free up and vacuum the carbon out of there) Do a complete engine bay cleaning on this truck via the Chris Fix method. 34 million views at YouTube can't be wrong.

Mileage will drop a bit with the Weber, but you'll probably get more power and less problems because it's simpler. It's a decent trade off with many happy customers. Besides...finding throttle body parts is becoming damn near impossible. And the ones you find are going to be thirty plus years old anyway, for the most part. If someone started up an aftermarket business selling brand-new, complete TBI systems for these trucks, I think they would do a booming business. But no one has, unfortunately. If I had kept my 89, I would have eventually gone to the Weber carb system.

Clean out the carbon from the throttle body and it should work again.

Hang onto the throttle body or list it in the classifieds or eBay. Those are not made anymore, so please don't throw it away.

What was your fuel mileage before and after?

Any ideas about how to clean port out without removing intake?
