Step 3:Clean up the opening

Initially I used a rotary tool to make my cuts.

Then I used a grinder to open things up a little more and to smooth out the edges.

There was a stainless screw that was just in the way, and I used my reciprocating tool to sheer that bad boy off.

Now here's where you can clean up the "new to you Mirrors", I left mine "as is", because my truck is no beauty queen.

After a quick Mock up, to make sure the fit is "how you like it" and attach mirror. If you have a power mirror set-up in your rig, maybe you can get them to operate. I will use the manual option to adjust mine.

Is this a question or a statement?
In Post #6, the pic labeled D21 vs. Xterra, the D21 mirrors are the thin ones, to the left. IDK about power vs nonpowered Xterra Mirrors, I would assume they are the same as all Xterra Mirrors, but without the motors in them.

Pretty cool mod. Do you have any pictures that show the whole truck in the shot to give folks an idea how it looks overall?

NO. That's why I tried to include the Left and Right finished, but I will get some, with them folded in too.
I should also note that I did this too.
