I just realized that Sentra would not have come with 16-inch wheels.

My truck shows 14-inch wheels, and I've never had that size wheel on it.

If the info on Walmart's database doesn't show that the tire fits your car, they will not install them anyway.

You can still buy tires at Walmart and have them mounted to wheels that you bring in, but they will not mount them to the vehicle.

Truck will get some hot weather towing this weekend. Time to test the cooling system in 100+F weather and a trailer!
I found that out too, odd size, play around with the size a little bit, I use tire rack to check tire size for a more popular size (price comes down) check width too..

what year is the Sentra? I don't believe any of them came with a 50 series tire

found where you said it is a 99, stock for the base Sentra was a 155/80/13, in a 16" tire you could do the 195/45/16 and that would be close to stock size, discount tire has tires starting at $68 each in that size.

Or a 205/45/16 starts at $53 each from Discount Tire, will be very close to the 195/50/16's if that is what is on the car now.

How does it do?
Thanks for the compliment!
It does really well. It drives like a camper. You drive it like a loaded vehicle.

Acceleration and braking are really good. Sway is reasonable since I rearranged my leaf pack using the springs I got from you. It even moved the axle back because the center holes were different than mine. I considered that to be an advantage, so I had the driveshaft lengthened as well.
Stock wheelbase is 116"/ Between my SAS and this latest rear axle shift, I am pushing 120" That helps stability and it helps with regard to the CG location of the camper.

You can see the wheelbase here:

Ticking noise is back bur this time I think it may be coming from a dying exhaust manifold gasket. I am grabbing a set of gaskets tomorrow and will replace them nexr week while on vacation.

Stock it had 14s. Someone put 16s on it. A 205/?/? Makes a tiny sidewall. Went with the 195/50/16 for some more sidewall even though they are a hair taller than stock.

I didn't/don't want to replace all 4. Its a $500 commuter I don't want to put an extra cent into. I just matched the other 2 tires with the same size and put a slightly nicer tire on it. 2 tires on it I replaced were too small anyways.

That also applies to the speed rating. Managed to get a couple on my old 99 Corolla I delivered newspapers in that had a higher rating than their database showed. They wouldn't even come close to the car. I complained so much the regional manager called me about it - even after he offered to have them install the tires I requested (which matched the others) I refused.

Condensed post: Considering switching out that Pathy's tires and wheels over to my truck.

EDIT: Went to take measurements late on these tires. BOTH rigs running 15 inch rims. So all this time the truck is actually going five miles an hour LESS than on the speedo. LOL no wonder I get passed a lot on the freeway.

Updated Info: Truck running 215/65/R15.

Pathy has mounted: 235/75/R15.

Pathy has really nice high end tires, brand new. Truck tires about half gone or so, but still good. Should I switch them out from Pathy to truck? NOTE: Pathy is temp rig for the wife. Will be sold next month and I'm getting her a better Pathy.
