Wee little bitty Kubota! Those are awesome tractors. Used a L3400 and a B1700 for years. Beat the snot out of that B1700.

I could not tell when everything was bolted onto the tractor. The space in there is a lot tighter than it is on our little Hardbodys.

After taking it out, I don't know how to tell. Fook.

+1

The L4400 is doing just fine, too. It just leaves gnarly tire marks in the grass if I try to mow with it.

Oh! L4400! That sounds fun! The L3400 feels like it has so much more power than the old B1700. Bet that L4400 gets things done!

Got to drive a synchronized 4 speed Massy one time. That was pretty cool. I was sold. My dad was not and went with another Kubota.

Yes I also recall hearing this happens on fords often. You may want to google search for that tool. It’s worth a shot.

Sparkplug issue is common on the 5.4L for v8. For also puts some stupid long life plug in there and it seizes and break when you go to replace it.

4.6 fords too. The 3 valve ones get it the worst. I think the long life plugs are part of the problem because after they've been in there forever they're almost guaranteed to be seized. I wonder if ford puts loctite on them at the factory. And let's not forget about those exhaust manifold studs...

Also the only 9/16" spark plugs I have ever run across.

PB Blaster is your friend. Several times. Over a period of a day or two. Prep the spot good before you try anything else. Fill that spark plug hole and then keep filling it. Clearing the threads might be just what you need to get a turn or two and promote that plug to Finger Tight.

I am buying a case of PB just to support the cause. That stuff did the trick. #4 is out and LBR is back on the road!!
