Default ISO VG30i Engine

Hello everyone. My 1989 jumped time a few months back. Long story short, the valves are bent and the engine is toast Does anyone have a VG30i laying around by chance?

Or, what would I need to change to get a newer style V6 in there?

Better off looking for a VG30E engine and swapping your manifold over,

As long as the pistons are not damaged you can get reworked or replacement heads.

I have a VG30 with good heads but busted wrist pin. Been in my car port for a while.



I could pull heads but shipping would be expensive.



Caddie, you need cams still?

VG33 long block and swap the valve covers and air/fuel injection system. Similar to what I did.

No. I bought a jdm vg33 with less than 50k miles today. $1229 shipped.

My old vg30i had the same failure with two different sets of cylinder heads. I am ridding myself of that headache forever.

Hmmmm okay I'll need to look into this. I'm fairly mechanically inclined, but I have never swapped an engine before. Is the VG33 swap something that I can reasonably do? Is there a write up somewhere?
