HI Friends,
I'm replacing Throttle Parts and Sensors. However, there are a couple of parts i don't KNOW (can someone help me ID THEM)??? This is a D21, 4CYL model that i am restoring. I labeled the parts in a diagram indicating the following; Part A. there's a spring that controls a 'small piston value' below the spring. What is the Piston Called? Part B. I know the Mass Air Sensor (i just changed) Part C. Don't know ??? Can anyone tell me what these parts are? Thanks very much Last edited by Balkins; 01-13-2021 at 01:24 AM. |

that looks like the "thermo element" (16391-12G00)maybe called a "wax kit" it pushes the fast idle cam, if you have a high idle, chances are this is bad
2nd pic, looks like FICD solenoid (16196-86G00) hope it helps (both part #'s are for a 4cyl) Last edited by YEPEE; 01-12-2021 at 07:35 PM. |

The up and down idle is a common struggle with these systems. There are a few possible causes, including even a slight vacuum leak. Good luck. You might get it stabilized. Sometimes it's tricky.
