I have a 1994 extended cab HB. It is my daily and later on down the road I might put somthing in the engine bay that kicks out alittle more HP. As of right now I plan to just get it to a healthy running stage. I want to fix the dreadful timing chain problem(Hopefully Alabama Helps me

Looks like a clean truck, they are getting harder to find in good shape. Nice project

Just FYI the front of that truck is bagged. And his wheels are custom built diamond racing 16x10's. They're steel too.

So this weekend I tightened up some squeaky belts, I also changed the Transmission fluid. I decided to take my seats out to clean the carpet underneath them real well and to troubleshoot my engine code problem(didn't get this finished). Upon taking out my driver side seat the bolt snapped off. So I tried to use a bolt extractor and snapped off two of them inside the bolt. I was pretty much pissed off at that point, decided that I am going to pick up a nice set of metal drill bits adjust drill it through and put a locking nut on the back of it. Next up I'm going to try to clean up some of the bed rust.

Just have to ask, what were you using to remove the seat bolts. I doubt I could break one of my seat bolts but then again maybe I am missing something. I would check the bolts for rust. The other option is a previous owner just put standard bolts back in and may not have even been the correct thread. Seat bolts are usually grade 8, strongest you can get, to absorb the shock of a traffic accident and impact. Your butt is attached to the truck by those and the seat belt, I would do a bit more investigating on this. I might check all your seat bolts. I could be wrong and maybe others have snapped a seat bolt but that is the first thing that ran though my head from reading your post.

I'm not sure on the grade, I know for sure that they have a 7 on the head. I used just a socket and wrench to take them out. All the bolts looked good to me except a couple which had jacked up threads from rubbing on the seat bracket. I went ahead and replaced them with all new ones anyway. Not sure what rating the new ones are and now that you mention it when I get home from work I might go check that.
