Use a NEW alternator, not a remanufactured alternator

so i went by Advance Auto where i bought the Alternator and they said ill all seems to be good to go. also found out i bought a reman. i checked the float switch on the brake master cylinder and it works. i then checked the parking brake switch and i think thats causing my problem cause it worked for a second then it quit working. heading over to the "im looking for..." thread.

If the battery light is coming on, the parking brake switch has nothing to do with that.

Replaced the alternator with a new alternator. Autozone was the only place local that had a New Alternator, so sorry dura-crap haters. Just crossing my fingers. After replacement I still have a dim battery light(been dim from the begining of the thread).......

Any thoughts?

On the 2 white wires on the alternator check for 12vdc. It’s coming directly from battery through the black fusible link.

On the yellow/red wire check for 12vdc with the ignition switch on.

Check the black wire for continuity to ground.

I have a lifetime rebuilt alternator from O'Reilly in my '98 Frontier, I'd guess maybe 7 years now, fine.
