My poor Navara has been parked for I think...18 months.
A buddy and I ripped the carby off the Z24 and swapped it with a Holley 500. It ran GOOD. Haha for about 2 weeks until it killed 2 factory...

I know this might seem silly but it's worth adding in the first post that this is for US models. I dashed swapped mine and now I can't use the tacho because I dont have an ECU.

See our Navara went until 92 with no ecm and points distributor and only got an upgrade when they went to the KA. Funny how much you guys love 4 doors, over here most people hate them haha

Mine does the exact same thing and it's because my choke gets stuck on when the engine is warm. If yours has an auto choke, when it does this see if your choke mechanism is jammed :)
