I haven't looked into this issue as I don't do long drives in the truck anymore. However, it is interesting. Another approach could be to put in a second tank and a transfer pump?

If the HB was removed improperly, it easily could be damaged. I'd expect the unbalance to be apparent at most RPMs, though.

Interesting! If not a venting problem, next _guess_ is the fuel pump or sock. Before that (PITA job) I'd check out the wiring, grounds, etc. Be careful!

It seems that the problem would be more evident under hard acceleration if fuel-flow was the cause, but did you change the fuel filter too?

The "cat-back" mufflers, via RockAuto, are good deals. I went with the Walker, and it is very stock-sounding. Go for the stainless steel version, and remember to buy the gaskets, etc. too.

I don't remember how the glove box attaches at the hinge (sort of remembering two hokey plastic dowels ...), but look underneath to see if there's some exposed screws for their lower-mount.

Angry COVID-19 strikes ... the KA24E

The D21 has been on reserve-duty for years now, to carry loads, etc., so it didn't get driven much. I'd drive it daily for a couple of weeks, though, twice a year to burn up/replace the tank of gas...
